How much does a backend cost?
It depends on how many apps it serves, the data involved, the integrations it needs and the admin tools your team wants. After a short discovery call we send a fixed-price proposal with the scope written out, so you know the cost before work starts.
Do I need a backend for my app?
If your app has accounts, shares data between devices or people, takes payments or needs content you can change without an app update, it needs a backend. Some simple apps do not, and we will tell you if yours is one of them.
Can you build an API for an app someone else made?
Yes. We can build a new backend for an existing app, or take over and improve one that is already running, starting with a review of the code and data.
Where will the backend be hosted?
We agree hosting with you at the start, often in the UK or EU, and set up backups and monitoring. It runs under accounts you own.
Can you add payments and subscriptions?
Yes. We connect Stripe and the app stores’ billing to your backend, so a purchase made in one place gives access everywhere the store rules allow.
How do you protect personal data?
We collect only what the app needs, encrypt data in transit, limit who can access it and keep records of where it is processed, so you can meet UK GDPR obligations.
Do I own the code and designs?
Yes. Once the project is paid in full, you own the code, designs and everything we built for you. We hand over the repositories, store accounts and documentation.
