MVP development

MVP development for start-ups, from idea to first users

Our MVP development helps start-ups turn an idea into a first version real people can use. We agree the smallest product that tests what matters, design and build it for iPhone, Android or the web, and help you learn from how it is used.

What we build

A first version worth launching.

An MVP is not a cheaper version of everything. It is the few things that prove people want your product, built properly.

Scope workshop

We work through your idea with you and agree which features the first version needs, and which can wait.

Tech used: Written scope, user journeys

Design and prototype

The key screens designed and tested as a clickable prototype before we build.

Tech used: Figma prototypes

Phone apps

Native iPhone or Android apps, or both, built so they can grow into the full product.

Tech used: Swift and SwiftUI, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose

Web MVPs

A web app that works on any device without a download, often the quickest way to test an idea.

Tech used: Next.js, React, TypeScript

Backend and payments

Accounts, data and, where the idea needs it, payments, so the MVP works like a real product.

Tech used: Python and Django, PostgreSQL, Stripe

Getting it right

What a good MVP needs.

Most first versions try to do too much. These are the things we plan for from the first conversation.

One clear question

The MVP is built to test the thing that matters most, such as whether people sign up, return or pay.

A short must-have list

Every feature earns its place. Nice-to-haves are written down for later, not built now.

Built to grow

Simple does not mean throwaway. The code and design are ready to build on once the idea is proven.

Ways to learn

Private analytics and simple feedback routes, so you can see how people actually use it.

Ready for real users

Secure sign-in, a privacy policy and store approval, so you can put it in front of people with confidence.

Proof

Built by the team behind Ohm.

We build and run our own products, so we make the same calls about scope, cost and launch that start-ups do. Ohm now runs on TVs, phones, computers and the web from one account and one backend, and your MVP gets the same care and the same lessons.

Ohm

A premium IPTV player for the playlists you already have. Ohm plays your own sources; it never supplies channels.

Process

How an MVP project runs.

  1. 01

    Discover

Your idea, users, must-haves and budget agreed in a fixed-price proposal.
  2. 02

    Design

Key screens drawn and tested as a clickable prototype before code.
  3. 03

    Build

The MVP and its backend, shared with you in working builds as we go.
  4. 04

    Launch

Store or web release, with simple, private measurement in place.
  5. 05

    Learn and grow

Review what people do, then plan and build the next version together.

How much does an MVP cost?

It depends on the platforms, the number of screens and what the backend needs to do. After a short discovery call we send a fixed-price proposal with the scope written out, so you know the cost before work starts.

What should my MVP include?

Only what is needed to test your main idea with real users. We help you sort features into must-haves and later, and agree the list in writing before we start.

Should my MVP be an app or a website?

It depends on your users. A web app is often the quickest way to test an idea, while a phone app suits things people use on the move every day. We will recommend a starting point during discovery.

Do you work with early-stage start-ups?

Yes. We work with founders building a first product, including those who are still shaping the idea. Bring what you have, even if it is a few notes.

Will the MVP need to be rebuilt later?

We build MVPs so they can grow, using the same native tools and backend we would use for a full product. Some parts will change as you learn, which is the point of an MVP.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. Tick “Sign an NDA first” in the project brief and we send a mutual NDA before you share anything sensitive.

Do I own the code and designs?

Yes. Once the project is paid in full, you own the code, designs and everything we built for you. We hand over the repositories, store accounts and documentation.

Ready to test your idea?

Tell us what you want to build and who it is for. We will reply with questions, a suggested first version and a fixed-price proposal.
